Teaching/Tutoring Experience
Denise Marman has been teaching and tutoring for 20+ years. She previously held a teaching credential in special education for students with mild and moderate disabilities. She is certified in the world-renowned Academic Associates reading instruction program. (http://academicassociates.org/) She also recently completed coursework on Dyslexia.
Denise provides individualized services tailored to the specific needs of each student taking into account their learning style, personal interests, and areas of strength and weakness.
Denise worked for the Auburn Union School District, Placer Union School District, CORE Charter School, and the United Auburn Indian Community. She now owns and operates her own tutoring business for 18 years. She works with both special needs and general education students.

Additionally, Denise was also an instructor for the 2nd Step program, which taught children empathy, problem-solving, and anger management skills.
